Don’t Let “Buzzing” Keep You From Your Goals

73 Flares 73 Flares ×

Are you determined to do what you set your mind to?

How quickly do you give up?

Yesterday I ran into this MAJOR problem as I was trying to film a video to share with you…

Click play, it’s super short 8 seconds (and will make you smile).

Okay, okay, so that was more of a minor irritation.  ;)  I just thought it’d be fun to share.

But how often do we give up when things like that get in our way?  A little “buzzing” and we want to throw in the towel…

Might be the buzzing of negative voices around us, the stories in our own minds, or outside factors not cooperating (mosquitoes, technology, whatever!).

Any goal worth achieving will take effort.  So ignore that buzzing and just keep pushing towards whatever goals you’ve set for yourself!

Talk with me — what goals are you working towards right now?

Anything worthwhile takes work! If it was easy, everyone would do it.

On the topic of filming videos outside, I wish I had a nice place to film without bugs or street noise because the natural light makes videos look so nice!

Yep I tell people that about entrepreneurship… It rocks and I love what I do, but it’s not easy or everyone would be doing it.

The bugs are a challenge this time of year. But I agree, the natural light is so nice. Plus I love the outdoor scenery.

Awesome! I often get distracted by the buzz – like lately – but it’s great to hear someone else say it too! I will try to buzz-proof my life! Earphones, here I come… :-)

I’ve had a lot of buzzing to contend with lately, Michelle. Thanks for your encouragement to stay focused on my goals. My goal is to decide if it’s important to me to continue working on building an online business presence or find a job, or both (or neither). Major crossroads. So, I’m thinking it through first based on values and writing about it during July’s UBC.

Thanks for the work that you do — and your sense of humor, too.

Michelle, this challenge coincides perfectly with my own business launch. Enough of a ‘push’ to get me off my fear rocker. And your instructions and encouragement make a lot of difference. Thanks!

Keep consistent to provide valuable blog content sometimes hard to keep.

I have two goals within my blog. Providing valuable content is my long term goal while short term goal this year is getting advertising into my blog as a new source of income revenue

      Hi

Buzzing is a good name for all that negativity that creeps in, especially from others who dont understand or dont want to understand what it is you are doing. Like a buzzing thing they are difficult to ignore. Just keep your head down. Thanks for the post.

    10. Sometimes I feel that I can’t get a single thing done because of distractions. I now write down 5 things that need to get done with a goal of only having to accomplish 3. I feel less stressed when I don’t have to do every thing on my list.

Buzz is a great metaphor for all the distractions, real or imagined, that can come between you and your intention .. my distraction is myself, too many different projects on the table. I’ve learned to just focus on one and not to touch another until it’s done. Hip Hip hooray for me!
