Meet Michelle

Why I blog and what motivates me...

To help YOU succeed in working from home and building your business, of course! :)

I am passionate about women building self-sufficiency and about the amazing role that small businesses play in our economy. I feel strongly that everyone who wants to should have a way to build a home based business to help support their families, or as a creative outlet.

If I can be some small part of helping a woman to support her family, or of helping her to feel some value in what she can do and accomplish (because too many of us hide our talents, or struggle with low self-esteem when we are truly amazing, beautiful, strong women), then all the time I put into this blog is 100% worth it!

What you'll find on my blog...

My blog seems to be a living, evolving organism with a mind of it's own.

It can be a little eclectic (or maybe it just has ADOS - attention deficit ooooh shiny! disorder). I generally stick to topics that involve making it easier to work from home with technology and systems, like automating tasks or outsourcing, or general "how to do it" posts about websites and internet marketing.

On a personal note...

I'm Michelle and I live in Alaska with my wonderful husband, three beautiful children, a cat, and a tortoise.

I was born and raised here so I'm an Alaskan gal.  I love the mountains, the snow, and the attitude.

For those who wonder, yes I've seen moose in my front yard, bears do attack trash cans here if you leave them out, and there are days where it doesn't get dark in the summertime.  And I live about 1 minute from a glacier.

Sometimes I post pics on Twitter of Alaska.  So do follow me on Twitter (I tweet a lot, you've been warned).  Here are a couple you might like:

On a professional note...

I've been online and creating websites since I was 13, which translates into more than half my life, so it's become second nature at this point and I love it.  I've coded hundreds of websites and thousands of pages.

Ten years ago I began working from home as a VA/website designer and my business snowballed into lots of website design and ecommerce, then website hosting, and eventually my line of information products and this blog.

I'm a certified Solo-E Expert, Ezine Articles Expert Author, weekly blogger at CWAHM, and monthly contributor and applause award recipient at WAHM-Articles.
