Plugin Mania – 6 Great WordPress Plugins for Your Blog

plugin I’ve been putting more time into making this blog rock so ya’ll will enjoy your learning here.  Thought I’d do a quick post to share the new plugins I’ve put in and why.

Recent Comment Avatars
On the right side of my blog under “Who’s Talking Back…” you’ll see a list of the 5 most recent comments on my blog along with the avatars of the commenters.

SexyBookmarks
On each of my posts you’ll see two rows of little social networking icons that move when you touch your mouse to them.  They’re more eye-catching and fun than the Sociable plugin I had activated before, so I thought I’d try them for a bit and see if they make sharing my posts easier.

Sexy Comments
My comments are now setup to allow you to pick another comment to reply to, and they look a little nicer, as well.  You might also check out Intense Debate for your comments, that’s a popular option as well.

WP FollowMe
If you’re a Twitter addict you can use this plugin to add a button to the side of all your pages with a custom message and your choice of Twitter bird icons.  Mine says “Tweet Me” — see it on the right?

WP Super Cache
This is more of a behind-the-scenes plugin.  It’s purpose is just to speed up your page loading time for visitors.  For the technical info just click the link to read how it works.

Contextual Related Posts
Help your visitors find more of what they’re looking for with this plugin.  At the end of each of my posts you’ll find a list of related posts that are about the same topic.  That way you can read more of what I’ve written about whatever you’re already reading.

Next post I’ll share some of the “behind the scenes” plugins I consider essential.

Do you use any of these plugins?  Got others you love?  Which plugins do you consider the coolest?
