Digital certainly dominates! Schools are having to set up rules and guidelines about the usage of cell phones. Interesting stats, Michelle. Thanks!

    Michelle,

Oh my gosh! I see this stuff all the time.

We recently went on vacation for a few days and did not have any phone access. Some of the group went into terrible withdrawls. My nephew stayed at our house and freaked out when he found out my wifi was down.

I was away that evening, my teen daughter was home alone, her mobile in bad shape after a little bicycle accident and my PC locked away from her (hehe!). At first she didn’t know what to do, how to spend an evening without being connected. After a while, she called me: “Mom, how can I model clay, when it is so hard?” She had gone through the drawers and found a self-hardening clay I’d bought a few years ago and never used – I gave her instructions and when I got back I found a little handicraft drying on the kitchen counter. My point is, take away computers for a while and, after the initial withdrawal symptoms, kids will seek to channel their energy into other things. Just, don’t be afraid they will get mad at you. They will – but you don’t care. :))
