Does it Matter Where You’re Making Noise?

You’ve got two basic choices in promoting your business:
1. You can stand right there where you’re at, making noise and trying to get people to come to you.
2. You can figure out where the people are, go to them, and then make noise.

Now, of course, what kind of noise you make matters (are you just yelling about yourself or demonstrating how you can help by sharing smart resources like your newsletter, case studies, blog, articles, videos and more).

But which choice do you think would make it easier to connect with the perfect customers or clients?  #2!

One of the awesome things about the internet is that it allows small businesses and entrepreneurs to reach out and connect without needing the huge budgets required for international TV or media campaigns.

So, is your business online yet?  Getting a website up and running can be simpler than it might sound.  Once you’ve got your website up, that becomes your “home base” of online operations.  From there you can branch out like an octopus with all those legs into social media, email marketing, and other online promotions.

Check out this video about the state of the internet.  Watch the numbers.  It’s amazing.  What an awesome opportunity we’ve got to reach out and connect with the people our products and services can help!

Are you a numbers person? Want more statistics, videos, awesome graphics? You’ll love the blog post where I found this video: HubSpot’s Inbound Internet Marketing Blog: The Ultimate List: 300+ Social Media Statistics

And stay tuned as I share more on the blog this month about how exactly to create that “octopus” presence that allows you to reach out with smart strategies to find your ideal clients by going to where they’re at and sharing how you can help them, without spending your entire day online.  It can be done!  You just need a smart plan.
