Do You Know What You Want?

Reading time: < 1 minute

I've been thinking a lot lately about what my goals are both for my business and my life and working to write them out and plan how to reach them. Big goals that can seem overwhelming look so much easier to reach when that plan is in place.

When you've got goals they pull you forward -- you've got something that you're working towards and motivated to reach!

Here's a great video from Brian Tracey about why it's important to know our goals and to keep thinking about them and focusing on them:

Do You Need Some Motivation to Keep Blogging?

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

Do you need motivation to help you blog consistently?  If so, a blog challenge might be just the thing for you!

A Blog Challenge is when a group of bloggers get together and set a goal to post to their blogs daily for a set number of days (for example, one month).  During the challenge they support each other by visiting the blogs of the other participants and leaving comments, tweeting and sharing their posts, and interacting.

Participating in a blog challenge can help you stay motivated and connect with others who share your goal.  It can also help you make connections and get to know other bloggers.

One of the most obvious benefits of a blog challenge is the big boost in traffic that can happen when you have others visiting your blog who want to support you and help you promote your blog.

But there are many other benefits!

Top 5 Reasons to Join a Blog Challenge

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

Did you see the blog challenge announcement but wasn’t sure if it was for you?  Michele Scism wrote a blog post yesterday sharing the top 5 reasons you may want to join a blog challenge (you’ll find that below).

I was thinking… the coolest things I got out of participating in the #blog30 challenge in June… were connections.  My traffic did go up significantly, and I connected with people who purchased services or ebooks from me, but beyond that I connected with people that I can grow together with in business, who I’m happy are becoming friends.  Can’t put a $ value on that (okay, maybe you could, but I’m not up to that kind of math tonight – when I finished calculus 10+ years ago I decided no more crazy math).

And of course, the more obvious benefits are that I have 30 more posts on my blog that can draw traffic and help people with their websites, blogs, and small businesses.  Those 30 posts I can re-purpose into things like articles, expand into ebooks, and so much more.

Beware of Goal Busters

Reading time: < 1 minute

Note from Michelle: I decided to share a great article today from one of the most action-oriented women I know.  When this lady talks about goals and action, it’s from experience, and there’s lots to learn!

Do you have lofty goals? Then you should be aware of the goal busters that surround you.

Goal busters can be anything from a deceptively friendly acquaintance (who really doesn’t want you to succeed) to even an inanimate object. Consider a few examples of persons, places and things that seem to carry negative energy-which is lethal to a person trying to make a change in life!

A Weekend Gift for LOA Fans

Reading time: 1 – 2 minutes

If you’re a law of attraction / positive thinking fan, you’ll like these cards I created a while back. Each card has an inspirational quote at the bottom and space on the top for you to write down your tasks to complete and then things that you need to allow/trust the universe to bring you.

Just click here to download free. No opt-in required.  The link is to a ZIP file which contains three PDF files.

If you’re not into Law of Attraction don’t panic – you don’t have to download these, and I rarely post about these sorts of topics.  I’m still analyzing a lot of stuff in my head, to be completely honest.  :)

If you’d like, you’re also invited to sign up for the mailing list (top right corner of the page) and get even more great free stuff from me including worksheets, checklists, and special reports, and then weekly business articles from me. Or connect with me on Facebook using the box on the right side of this page.
